My lovely fairy came for her fitting today which went very well even though there are a lot alternations to be made before making up a finally costume. The panels of the bodice are one of the biggest points I need to focus on in terms of making sure they complement her shape and show off the shape of the costume. The skirt will definitely need a bigger tutu because it just makes the fairy look far more like a fairy than she does now.
Tasks started: Started to think about the size of the wings. Look into how wings can be made and attached to the costume. Start making a second mock up of the top. Make other adjustments and draw in panels on the bodice. Make a bigger tutu under skirt.
Tasks completed: Completed first fitting and changing the pattern to fit the changes.
Learned: To always make sure that you use safety pins when doing a fitting. Take notes of everything you have changed on the fitting sheet. Make sure when dealing with bust alterations that you take it from both sides and not just one. Mark on the changes with a piece of chalk. Add 2 inchs to the back of the costume.
