From looking though a book I was recommended by Christine. It was called "Costume 1066-1990s" by John Peacock. It gave me the idea to break up my research by using the English Monarchy as my cut off points. So I started to research British time-line and what the basic silhouettes for time periods were. In the beginning eras from William I 1066- Henry VII 1509. The silhouette is very similiar all the way through. Woman with full length, long sleeves, often nipped in under the bust and often with cloaks. Head pieces of some description or long hair breaded.
